Goalkeeper Chris Lara had two saves in 70 minutes for the Mounties. Mt. SAC (16-0-3, 11-0-2) will close out its regular season by hosting L.A. Harbor on Friday, Nov. 13, at 3 p.m.

Two second-half goals spared Mt. SAC its first loss of the season in a 2-2 South Coast Conference tie against Cerritos at Cerritos. Aaron Salazar scored the Mounties' first goal in the 84th minute, cutting the Falcons' lead to 2-1. Spencer Jones scored Mt. SAC's second goal in the 90th minute. Goalkeeper Chris Lara had seven saves in goal for the Mounties. Mt. SAC (12-0-2, 7-0-1) will host East L.A. on Tuesday, Oct. 27, at 2 p.m.

Mt. SAC ran its winning streak to 12 games with a 5-1 South Coast Conference victory over L.A. Harbor at L.A. Harbor. Christian Alvizar scored two goals and had one assist to lead the Mounties. Junior Ponce, Javier Brown and Adrian Padilla accounted for the other Mountie goals. Goalkeeper Chris Lara had five saves in 75 minutes while keeping L.A. Harbor scoreless. Mt. SAC (12-0-1, 7-0-0) will play at Cerritos on Friday, Oct. 23, at 2 p.m.

Junior Ponce scored the other Mt. SAC goal. Mountie assists went to Christian Alvizar (2), Jones, Salazar, Ponce and Michael Chavez. Goalkeeper Luis Mendoza had six saves in 90 minutes for the Mounties. Richland (Tex.) defeated Santa Barbara, 1-0, in the third place game of the tournament. Mt. SAC (3-0-1) will host Hartnell on Friday, Sept. 11, at 1 p.m.

Mt. SAC defeated Richland (Tex.), 4-2, in the opening round of the Adidas/Mt. SAC Tournament at Mt. SAC. Junior Ponce scored two goals while teammate Spencer Jones had a goal and an assist for the Mounties. Eddie Alvarez accounted for the other Mt. SAC goal. Goalkeeper Chris Lara had four saves for the Mounties (2-0-1) who will face Santa Ana - which defeated Santa Barbara 2-2 (4-3) - for the tournament championship on Sunday, Sept. 6, at 11 a.m.

Tony Camacho scored two goals to lead Mt. SAC to a 4-1 victory over Oxnard at the Azteca/Mt. SAC Tournament at Mt. SAC. Aaron Salazar and Spencer Jones scored the other Mountie goals. Eddie Alvarez, Jose Gonzalez, Junior Ponce and Adrian Padilla each had an assist for Mt. SAC. With the victory, the Mounties finished in second place behind tournament champion Cerritos, which defeated Taft, 4-1, in the championship game. Mt. SAC and Taft finished tied for second, but the Mounties had a +3 goal differential while Taft had a -3 goal differential. Mt. SAC (1-0-1) will compete in the Adidas/Mt. SAC Tournament on Friday and Sunday, Sep. 4 and 6. The Mounties will open tournament play against Richland (Tex.) on Friday at 7 p.m.
