 Blocked kick in overtime gives football big win over Cerritos
A blocked PAT by Mt. SAC in overtime lifted Mt. SAC to a 27-26 National Central Conference victory over Cerritos (8-1, 4-1) at Mt. SAC. Mt. SAC's Matt Faulkner threw for 207 yards and one touchdown on 22-of-40 passing for the Mounties. Lancer Iosefa led the Mounties with 61 yards rushing on 12 carries. Kolby Arendse (nine carries, 44 yards) scored Mt. SAC's touchdown in overtime, a three-yard run. Jesse Canada had nine receptions for 78 yards and a touchdown for the Mounties. Mt. SAC (8-1, 5-0) will concludes its regular season schedule on Saturday, Nov. 14, at Chaffey at 6 p.m.

Football knocks off El Camino
Mt. SAC defeated El Camino, 42-26, in a National Central Conference game at El Camino. Lancer Iosefa ran for 88 yards on 22 carries and scored two touchdowns while quarterback Matt Faulkner threw for 143 yards and one touchdown on 12-of-20 passing. Mt. SAC (7-1, 4-0) will host Cerritos on Saturday, Nov. 7, at 1 p.m.

Football crushes Desert 63-0
Matt Faulkner threw for 356 yards and five touchdowns and ran for one touchdown to lead Mt. SAC to a 63-0 National Central Conference victory over College of the Desert at Mt. SAC. Ernst Brun (three receptions, 73 yards, one touchdown), Lester Thomas (two receptions, 96 yards, one touchdown), Bryce McBride (two receptions, 65 yards), Simeon Cobbs (two catches, 58 yards, one touchdown) and Tommy Darcey (two receptions, 62 yards) were Faulkner's top targets on the night. Jesse Canada also had a touchdown reception. Raukeen Foreman (13 carries, 58 yards) and Lancer Iosefa (10 carries, 56 yards, one touchdown) led the Mountie running attack. Caizan Nauka also scored a touchdown on the ground for the Mounties. Mt. SAC accumulated 403 yards of total offense while its defense held Desert to 117 yards. Mt. SAC (6-1, 3-0) will play at El Camino on Saturday, Oct. 31, at 6 p.m.

Football wins big behind McBride's 171 yards rushing
Bryce McBride ran for 171 yards on seven carries and scored a touchdown to lead Mt. SAC to a 45-12 National Division Central Conference victory over Riverside at Riverside. Matt Faulkner threw for 163 yards on 10-of-18 passing with two touchdowns for Mt. SAC. Jesse Canada led the Mounties with four catches for 51 yards and one touchdown. Lancer Iosefa gained 60 yards on nine carries and scored two touchdowns for the Mounties. Mt. SAC (5-1, 2-0) will host College of the Desert on Saturday, Oct. 24, at 6 p.m.

Matt Faulkner threw for 362 yards and three touchdowns on 22-for-38 passing to lead Mt. SAC to a 55-0 National Central Conference win over Citrus at Mt. SAC. Jesse Canada was Faulkner's top target, hauling in eight catches for 135 yards and three touchdowns. Ahmere Owens had four catches for 79 yards and one touchdown. Tyler Vanderzee threw for 155 yards and three touchdowns in relief of Faulkner. Mt. SAC's defense held Citrus to minus seven yards rushing and just 142 yards of total offense while the Mountie offense tallied 683 yards of total offense. Mt. SAC (4-1, 1-0) will play at Riverside on Saturday, Oct. 17, at 6 p.m.

Football handed first loss of season
Saddleback handed Mt. SAC its first loss of the season, 24-14, in a National Conference interdivisional game at Mt. SAC. Tyler Vanderzee threw for 226 yards on 18-of-32 passing with one touchdown for the Mounties. Mt. SAC's Jesse Canada had five catches for 88 yards while teammate Chase Alcott had five receptions for 68 yards and one touchdown. Mt. SAC (3-1) has a bye next week, but will begin National Central Conference play by hosting Citrus on Saturday, Oct. 10, at 1 p.m.

Burton Iosefa ran for 122 yards on 18 carries and scored two touchdowns to lead Mt. SAC to a 32-20 win over Victor Valley in a National Conference interdivisional game at Victor Valley. Bryce McBride (5 carries, 25 yards) and Lancer Iosefa (4 carries, 10 yards) each ran for a touchdown for the Mounties. Mt. SAC quarterback Matt Faulkner threw for 121 yards on 13-of-19 passing. The Mounties (3-0) will host Saddleback on Saturday, Sept. 26, at 1 p.m.

Football gets road win
Burton Iosefa ran for 95 yards on 22 carries and scored twice to lead Mt. SAC to a 33-14 National Conference interdivisional win over Golden West at Golden West. Matt Faulkner threw for 194 yards on 18-of-25 passing for the Mounties. Jesse Canada (4 catches, 52 yards) caught Faulkner's only touchdown pass of the game, a 3-yarder early in the fourth. Faulkner's top target of the night was Ahmere Owens (5 catches, 59 yards). The Mounties (2-0) will play at Victor Valley on Saturday, Sept. 19, at 1 p.m.

Matt Faulkner threw for 341 yards and four touchdowns on 23-of-38 passing to lead Mt. SAC to a 34-30 win over Pasadena in a National Conference interdivisional game at Mt. SAC. Burton Iosefa (13 carries, 85 yards) scored the game-winning touchdown, a three-yard plunge, with 1:16 left in the game. Faulkner connected with Jesse Canada (7 catches, 122 yards) for two touchdowns and with Lester Thomas (7 catches, 92 yards) and Tommy Darcey (2 catches, 54 yards) with one touchdown each. Mt. SAC's defense held Pasadena to minus 15 yards rushing on 25 carries. The Mounties tallied 465 yards of total offense while holding Pasadena to 150. Mt. SAC (1-0) will play at Golden West on Saturday, Sept. 12, at 6 p.m.
